Tested the GCE yesterday. Driver: Mysanc. Navigator: Pok Chu. Passenger cum Critics: Mak
Mysanc: Bila nak naik flyover Elmina nih ? PokChu: Ni tengah naik lah ni Mysanc: Eh, bungalow saper tu? kaler oren ? Mak: Bungalow orang Merbau Sempak lah. --- Mak: Kita kat mana nih? M & P: Elmina Selatan ? --- Mak: Kita kat mana nih? M & P: Macam banyak kilang aje.Shah Alam kot? Mak: Tak nak gi S18 ke? Cari Pak Lang. Mysanc: Minggu depanlah.. --- Mysanc: Pokchu, remind me when we reach Exit 3508. I need to exit there. PokChu: OK
Exit at Jelutong-NKVE (Exit 3508).
Followed a PJ/KL direction and entered another Toll Plaza.
Mysanc: Pok Chu, kat mana nih? Pok Chu: Tah. Dia tulis ELITE. Mysanc: Belasah ajelah...Kalau keluar toll bayar RM1.60 betul lah tu ...
Inside Highway:
Mysanc: Eh tu Aman Suria. Mak: Projek Glomac juga tuh... Mysanc: OK. Nearing Persimpangan Subang. Not this one.
Too early.Pok Chu, remind me when you see Persimpangan Damansara. PokChu: OK. Mysanc: Eh Lien Hoe. Eh Luxor. Betullah kot. --- PokChu: Persimpangan Damansara! Mysanc: OK!
--- Return ticket to toll booth operator together with RM2.00. Received a balanced of 40 sens.
Mysanc: Hmm, betul lah route nih. Pok Chu, please remind me to maintain inside S17 route. PokChu: ok!
After a few minutes going up and down flyovers, Mysanc saw Phileo Business Cente and Eastin Hotel.
Mysanc: yay! Seksyen 16. Bolehlah buat backup route untuk gi kerja
(oklah, while waiting for the New North Klang Valley Expressway directly linking S.Alam Batu Arang and Penchala Link become a reality).
Mak: Eh, sekejapnya. 30 minit aje.
--- At least had some statistics for the going-to-work -route (though not very reliable, considering it's a public holiday).
We continued our journey to Datuk Keramat via the town roads (Bangsar-KTM-Dataran Merdeka- Jalan Tun Perak-Kompleks Wilayah-Kg Baru). Tempted to take the Prolintas Highway at Dang Wangi to go Dato' Keramat.
Mysanc: Mak. Takperlah ikut jalan bandar. Bukan nak cepat sangat kan? Mak: Ok lah.
--- After Mak collected rents, disposed of kampung vegetables (rebung, jantung, pisang muda, belimbing) at our aunt and cousin's houses and got a refill of medicine at the Clinic, we grabbed a quick bite -Mysanc's treat(silly Mad D*n*ld supervisor - due to understocked envelops we missed the Foldover Grilled Chicken, had to settle for Spicy Chicken McDeluxe, instead). ---
Time to hit home.
Mak: Ikut jalan biasa ajalah. Mysanc: Time cuti ni lah nak test route. Lagipun nak timing masa ngan mileage dari tempat kerja nih. PokChu: Zzz
--- So we zig-zagged again to PJ-S17.
Mysanc: Pok Chu, look for NKVE or Shah Alam or Klang. Pok Chu: Ok. Mysanc: Mana Shah Alam nih. Bukit Raja pun oklah. Pok Chu: Dah nampak direction to Shah Alam. Mysanc: Look for Jelutong. Pok Chu:Ok
We exited at Jelutong. Paid RM1.60 again (betullah route nih). ---
Mysanc: Pok Chu, look for direction to enter GCE. Pok Chu: Zzz ( after a quick Chicken McD and 10ml of cough syrup Pok Chu couldn't overcome his heavy eyelids). Mak: Bangun! Bangun. Kang sesat kang! Mysanc: Nasiblah... (and take the Batu Arang/Kuala Selangor direction).
Well maybe next time we'll try GCE again to return home. ---
Mak: Dah siap ke UITM nih?
---
Mak: Eh, Kayangan Heights. kat mana nih?
and the "minutes metric" used by Glomac to direct us to "Jalan Datuk" wasn't that precise either.
Mysanc: Dah 6 minit dah. Tak nampak simpang ke SU pun. PokChu: Itu metric untuk kereta besar. Mysanc: right ...
(When you expect every clearing on the other side of the road is the entrance to your housing area, it is hard to drive at a speed at par with the other drivers. At least we arrived safely through the Seri Pristana exit).
6.30pm: Another trip to Komuter Kuang. Pok Chu needed to return to KT briefly to kickstart his project (dunno which one - the Borneo trip? or his Thesis? )
