Terbang ka-Barat by Harun Aminurrashid

[Part1]

In Terbang ka-Barat, Harun Aminurrashid chronicled his visits to England and Paris.

His visit to England, together with a few Asian journalists, was sponsored by British Government (Pejabat Tanah Jajahan Inggeris, to be exact). After six weeks [20Sept to 16Oct 1952], the visit to England ended, he and his journalist acquaintances then decided to fork out some money out of their pockets to visit Paris for nine days.

It took him three days to reach London from Singapore via the BOAC flight. The journey covered nearly eight thousand miles with many stops;Singapore-Colombo, Colombo-Karachi, Karachi-Bahrain, Bahrain-Kaherah, Kaherah-Rome, Rome-Frankfurt, Frankfurt-London.
