These are among the two books that I've read. Others are too boring to mention. Letters from Malaya, 1951-1956 By Ted Miles. He's an American who travelled (during the pre-PeaceCorp day) to Malaya, got posted at a school in Pahang (MBS, methink), and got stuck(checkout pg 14) ever since (I mean in Bentong). The book is made up of his letters to his brother, Charles. His letters were sometimes purely funny. Sometimes sarcastically funny. Like when he wrote that letters from America arrived late in Malaya, coz it got rerouted to England, so that the British can correct the spelling. Hi hi. Life's Like That(Scenes From Malaysian Life) By Lydia Teh. Luckily she didn't blog first (or, maybe she did now) coz there's no money in blogging (at least for me lah). Reading her book is like blog-hopping. But she has many interesting stories to tell; during her working day, then to her home-maker day. Quite a number of useful tips, too. Go read her book. P/S:Now I get a clearer picture on how the MixFM (or HitzFM) fifth (or ninth, or whatever) caller mechanism works.
