'Idul Fitri - The celebration of Fitrah
mysanc heard from a tazkirah somewhere, 'Idul Fitri is a celebration for human who returned to their fitrah – free from sins , just like the day we were born. You may argue that no human is free from sins. But we can always strife to be better. Ask for forgiveness. To ask forgiveness from Allah, there’s Taubat. And returning to The Right Path. Allah has given us one month – Ramadhan- each year, for us to reassess and reeducate ourselves, through the Tarbiyyah of Ramadhan. The irony is, sometimes, it is more difficult to ask forgiveness from fellow human beings. The biggest obstacle is our own ego to ask for forgiveness. mysanc should know better, because mysanc’s ego is bigger than anything else. And then there’s ego to forgive. But that’s not a problem to the person who has already ask for forgiveness. He or she has done his or her part. It is up to the person whom we asked for forgiveness from, to complete the closure.
