Hectic

Ever since the gomen announce 5-working-days, my weekend had been hectic.

I thot I can golek-golek on one of those days (Saturday or Sunday). No, everything had to be planned out.

Last Saturday
Morning : Servis kereta. Half day gone.

Afternoon: Bagan Pasir.

To get our month supply of fish/seafood. We missed one boat. One boat was nowhere to be found. Even the father of the boat owner was waiting at the jeti. "Tunggu anak dia", somebody said. So mak just borong-ed the ikan selar and sotong by the bakul. Each at RM3.00. Then there was ikan tenggiri. Ikan duri. Udang.Ikan pekasam. All in all, RM48.00. For next month, maybe we have to go in the morning, depending on the tide.

Returned to SU around 5.00 pm.

I was so pooped, I doze off at the sofa after performing 'asr. Fortunately I didn't miss maghrib.

Last Sunday:
Morning:
Konvoi-ing with cousins. Off to Nilai 3. Pokchu who's just returned from his Borneo trip was quite dazed - what is it with women and fabric? They can't have enough of it.
Shopping can be tiring, especially when we had to walk to every shop and bear with the loud music. Maybe there's a subliminal message in the techno sound. Boom! Boom! Boom! Buy! Buy! Buy!. And that was only one row. We ignored the rest - the snack shop, electric shop, jati furniture shop. We even had to take raincheck on Nilai 1 on the other side of traffic light.
This year I decided to get ready-made dress. Less argument with the tailor (on why fabris is so unbelievably cheap but tailor's charge is so obscenely expensive, why is it a taboo for them to get the dress ready on promised date). Maybe when Raya is nearing, I'll get one ready-made dress.
Late noon

Had lunch with food prepared from home near one wakaf at Nilai R&R - Kuala Lumpur bound. Hmm, sambal sotong kering, fried chicken, fresh sotong masak unggep . Yumm! Yumm!

Instead of returning to Keramat, everybody decided to lepak at SU. We took out our bantal and decided to ukur the living room. For one hour or two, the house seemed silence. Except for Bapak and his 'cuci kereta' fad. As if by cue, everybody rose from their siesta at the fragrance of mak's kuey tiaw gravy.

What about this week ? So far, mak hasn't whip out the schedule yet.
