Harun Aminurrashid
mysanc found this interesting travelogue by Harun Aminurrashid entitled Mengembara ka- Andalusia. It was published by Pustaka Melayu, Singapore in 1965. Very nice book, complete with coloured pictures. It detailed the travel of the author - Harun Aminurrashid to Western Europe to cover all the countries which in the past had occupied Alam Melayu - England, Portugal and Spain. He didn't go to the Netherland though. mysanc would like to find out about the influence of Islam in these countries - particularly Spain. mysanc picked up Harun Aminurrashid name from H.M Tuah's novel - Enrique Mengundang Jauh. It tells of two different generation expeditions in search of their roots. Read this book and you'll find out how these two expeditions intersect. Harun Aminurrashid also wrote 'Anak Panglima Awang' in 1961, but this book is a bit harder to get. It can only be read in a special library. If you read H.M Tuah's books, you will find 'Panglima Awang' being mentioned quite frequently. I think he is a source of motivation used by H.M Tuah. --- Forget Tangkak, Forget Nilai3 ... - Monday, Nov. 21, 2005
