Don't try this at home
Be careful of what you do in front of kids ? They may just imitate it straight away. Last night, I absent-mindedly swallow the content of raw kampong-chicken egg in front of Mr Barney. The cough is gone. But the excessive mucus is bugging me, sometimes. Time for some mucus buster!
Mr Barney: Nak, nak. Nak wat yiyi (I want one. I want to do it myself).
Mysanc: (Gulp!)
Mak: Tak boleh, tak boleh. Kan baru tadi makan “chik yo” (white rice with sunny side up and kicap).
When Mr Barney was one year old, I mistakenly sip from the bulb/needle of ixora (some call it bunga siantan, some call it bunga jarum) flower in his presence. The next thing I realized, Mr Barney imitating my act. Oops. Not a good thing; since not all flower has the non-toxic edible nectar you can sip from.
Hope he never see me chewing the tiny berries (1,2) off the fencing plant, either.
