Bagan Pasir

[More pictures here]
Inspired by Dylan's pari-adventure on Step Forward @ 8TV, we went to Bagan Pasir to get fresh supply of fish.
BP is an additional of 7-8km from Pasir Penambang via the K. Selangor- Tg. Karang main road.
An additional 3-4 km took us to a pelantar where individual buyers and resellers mingle and freely choose fish and other marine products of their choices. Since this is the first place where fishermen raise their catch from the boat, the selections were not adequately wide. No 'ikan pari' was in sight. Wei, Dylan! How come you get to see so many of them. If CHOICE is your main criteria and FRESHNESS is second, then stick to Pasir Penambang.
For certain marine products, you could save RM4.00 for every kg. For other assorted fish, you could get at RM2.00 per kg. Usually Mak would spend around RM70.00 at Pasir Penambang. Here Mak spent RM49.60 for a month supply.

Availability : tenggiri, gelama,kembong, duri,belanak, sotong,udang,ketam, sotong katak, bawal (mature & juvenile).
Sadly no kerapu, jenahak, kerang, siput or 'retak seribu' were seen.

If you are adventurous or a scrooge (depending on how you view yourself, and how others view you, heheh); bring your own net. Or pack your own (fishing) rod. But don't throw your net or the line on the pelantar. Go to a nearby kunci air lah.
